‘Yoga teacher’ is one of the many titles I proudly and joyfully claim (some of my other top picks are: mother, priestess, Shamanic Minister, wife, daughter, artist, and donut-lover).
After leading a yoga club in high school and teaching sun salutations to a group of orphans as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Tanzania I took the plunge and journeyed through a number of teacher trainings. To me, yoga is self-care, self-love, gratitude, and freedom expressed and realized through movement and stillness in the body. To me, there is nothing more healing than connecting with the intuitive mind and the wisdom embedded within the body.
I want you to relax and to be comfortable with who you are. I teach weekly Yin and Slow Flow classes. My workshops are centered on the cycles of nature and laden with ritual.
Overtime my practice and teaching has focused more on the subtle and energetic body. In addition to yoga I assist people in self- healing practices. Through my Mind & Body offerings I seek to assist people in settling into their wholeness- to embrace their authenticity and all the pieces that make them who they are.
